Re: Who makes the best box for crew cab

The most you'll fit is two shallow 10s. There's not enough space under the seat for a shallow 12.

Check ebay, SubThump and supercrewsound.

Personally, I didn't like how shallow 10s lacked depth. So, I went with the JL Audio Stealthbox

Re: Who makes the best box for crew cab

If you dont mind it sticking out from under the seat then go with one of the box's mentioned above. i have a 5 year old so i wanted everything hidden so nothing would be messed with and bought a groundshaker box from Ground Shaker CFD210 Vehicle Specific Enclosures at Onlinecarstereo.com I would recommend getting the upfiring box because it gives a little more depth than the downfiring, which limited my selection of sub brand. It sounds good and is all under the seat.

Re: Who makes the best box for crew cab

ebay and supercrewsound have the same style under-seat up firing shallow mount sub boxes for less. Supercrewsound makes one for a 12" sub but not under the seat.

Re: Who makes the best box for crew cab

I shit talked jk audios stealthbox a few monthes ago(cost). But that's the one I'm going with here in a few weeks. It, to me has the best sound stats you can get. And it doesn't take up much room. You can still sit two people in the back.

Plenty of space for 1 12. I keep meaning to pull my box out to cover it and do a write up I just haven't had time. I did this around 5 years ago.

Dropped the box slightly were the sub sits, kept it higher everywhere else for the most space.

Can't see it looking straight down

Side view

MDF, tape measure, wood glue, screws, and most importantly patience.

Re: Who makes the best box for crew cab

This is what I am working on now... 0.13 cubic feet per sub, designed for 2 8" pioneer shallow mounts... I hated the way my ebay box fit (didn't) under the seat, and stuck out... I figured a down firing box was best to protect the subs

Re: Who makes the best box for crew cab

Thanks for all the info I really appreciate it everyone. I do have a 2yr old daughter so I want it hidden as well now can people sit on the seat without damaging the sub/subs?

Re: Who makes the best box for crew cab

Hey ShadowedXistence. Any chance of you sharing the dimensions on your box or the CAD file you have. I'm planning on making an under seat box for a single JL Audio TW5 shallow mount. I currently have a 10W7 with a Box i made similar to the Stealth box. My issue is that I cant recline the passenger seat so I plan to get rid of it.

Re: Who makes the best box for crew cab

Thanks a lot man. I"m gonna try to modify it a bit and make it for a JL Audio TW5. Hopefully within the next couple of weeks. If it works out then I'll post up some dimensions on here. Gotta get rid of my 10W7 first.
