SSBC rear disc brakes installed

Just finished. Still need to hook up the brake lines and bleed the brakes. Going to go out and buy a vacume bleeding tool.

Worth enough to try, but are they good enough to recommend?

I realize that this is not a cheap mod just wanting to know if braking has been improved a lot and if anyone who has this kit would recommend it based upon their experience.

Re: SSBC rear disc brakes installed

You want easier to change brakes lol and braking performance should increase a little bit but idk if I would pay that price tag for them. Anyways they look good bud now go stomp on the brakes lol. You have a friend? Have them help you bleed the brakes or get the bleeders with the check valves so you can do it yourself.

Re: SSBC rear disc brakes installed

Got the kit for around $960.00
Haven't finished bleeding the brakes yet, have been installing exhaust now. Will post comments on the performance soon. They sure do look good though, that's one of the reasons I got the kit.

Re: SSBC rear disc brakes installed

Took first test drive, breaking performance seems slightly better that stock drums. But for looks and ease of pad replacement, I'm happy with it.

Re: SSBC rear disc brakes installed

I wonder if a yukon rear discs would work and still be cheaper than ssbc. I admit they look good but that price tag is a lil steep.

Re: SSBC rear disc brakes installed

I"m told that the rear on a v8 Colorado is just a shortened Silverado rear, so I suppose rear discs off a Silverrado would work.
