Power stop combo opinions?

2008 CHEVROLET COLORADO Power Stop 1-Click Brake Kits K2066 - SummitRacing.com

I was looking at this online. Not familiar with brake brands. Anybody familiar with it, opinions?
I'm running stock as far as my braking is concerned. Need to replace some things, and I figure might as well upgrade while I'm in there.

Re: Power stop combo opinions?

I'm running this set-up on my 2006 Nissan Altima. The rotors look great and the stopping performance is phenomenal ---- however, the pads squeal like a banshee until you get some heat in them. Usually after the first stop they get quiet. Other than that, I've had no issues.

Good luck with your decision!

If you are buying rotors and pads why not upgrade to the 09+ brakes? The only thing extra you would need is calipers, dust shields, and a few bolts. The 09+ rotors and some EBC or hawk pads will be a better upgrade then the ones you have now.

Preciate it. Well one stop to wear them in doesn't sound too hard lol.

The squealing happens each time you drive the vehicle.......not just the initial 'bed in' process. Just wanted to make sure you realize this. However, after the first stop, the noise does cease.

Are your wheels 15 or 16's? The 16's will work.

Yep.

I'll be going back to EBC pads in the near future. The price for the combo, though, is cheaper than you can get drilled/slotted rotors of another brand.........

Not quite a wheel guy. How do you measure? Just measuring the exterior diameter of the lip of the rim is 16".... or is it from the inside?

Yep.

Alright. Well then I could deal with a lil whine maybe.... But The 09 are sounding good too....

Good deal. I'll check ebay out then....

I see a few sets for 170. But I do see the slotted rotors for just 80. Might just get the rotors.

Re: Power stop combo opinions?

I got the powerstop package. Works great. Definitely make sure when getting new breaks to properly bed them in though, otherwise they'll warp just as easily as the cheap ones
