Re: Photoshop and edited images

thanks i know it is red but can we make it look like it was smoothed and painted victory red not the pink plastic color? also i want to learn how to do thinks like that with gimp
sort of how too

i am used to paint and thought i would try gimp, could remove the red line by using the eye drop picking the color and brushing it .. takes for ever! constanty have to re pick the porber shade of color, or i would use the crop funtion to crop a tiny portion above the line and copy it move it aslo takes for ever! is thee a beter faster way to do that

exactly! thats what i did but for the top line ya really cant do that because the colors shift so much (the glare) but the sides and underneath, crop, copy, paste (from the sides) with gimp you can change the opacity? i think thats what it is....makes the color "see through" the lower you go. i havent been all through gimp yet but in time i will.

making it red and not pink would take time (from what i know so far) because you'll have to blend the edges into the darker red. patience is a virtue, especially when it comes to art.

Try the clone tool, but be sure to keep moving your clone point.

Re: Gimp/Photoshop help

Damn I wish I could chop different wheels and mods onto my truck. I can't quite figure that out on my CS4. I do all my artwork for my business but that's it. Check it out, this is just an image created by my snipping tool, it's not fuzzy in the real prints.

Re: Gimp/Photoshop help

ok thanks Just wanted to make sure I was on the right track! I am sure you may have seen this before, I did it in paint and if I took more time I could have made the wheels nicer, so far I haven't figured how to do any thing 3D! the truck I got off a wheel web site so I could make it what ever color I wanted and than, the wheels I got off of GM Canada, I had to black out the spoke wholes, and than I used the free-form crop to to go around the outside of the tire, that's where you can see my shitty skills! It is fairly easy to do cut copy paste, and that's how I did the box, and removed the door handle, I wouldn`t know were to begin with 3d pictures though! the quad was the most difficult, I had to remove the background color I got it close with flood fill and then blew the picture of to like 400% then carefully filled it in by hand, wonder if the pros have a electronic pencil!!?

Re: Gimp/Photoshop help

I don`t like what resizing the photo does in paint makes it have all dots over it or something that's why I decided to try gimp, I just haven't spent any time on it yet
