4WD problem, have question

Hey guys, I have noticed while driving up to wisconsin the other day that my truck would be in 2wd but then end up in 4wd while on the highway, I found this out by the service 4wd message. So I put it back into 2wd and carried on. I notice then on the way home the same thing happens, start out in 2wd then it goes into 4wd and tells me service 4wd. Any ideas what is going on or what is wrong. I did not bump the button or for that matter anywhere near it while driving both ways and I did check to make sure it was in 2wd before both trips.

Mine did that one time, I took it in and it was only the shift sensor that mouts on the front axle. Hopefully you'll have the same luck or better but yes get it looked at ASAP
