Aero Turbine on I5?

Anyone done it? Always wondered what it would sound like. On the 5.3 it sounds amazing.

It won't sound bad I don't think but it will never sound like a 5.3L v8.

2525XL - Resonated Car and Truck Muffler

For $192.83 I could get a Flowmaster or Glasspacks installed and everything lol

Well if you just want a good sound, then the flowmaster is only good for that. The performance will be less than if you were to go with a glasspack and the aeroturbine would be a good performance muffler.

Re: Aero Turbine on I5?

I say keep the truck and mod the hell out of it instead of getting a new one! ;-) You can keep your stock tailpipe and cut out the old muffler and have Midas weld in the muffler of your choice for around $100 total!

Re: Aero Turbine on I5?

Haha yeah. I might end up keeping it while in college then get a newer one during or after.
All depends on how everything goes. But I would love an 09-10 V8 Crew Cab.
And Midas will do all that for $100?

maybe $110-120 but with the muffler below, it shouldn't cost more.
Order the muffler from summit or jegs or something and then cut your factory muffler off, then bring them the muffler that you bought, and they charge like $20 per weld.

something like this...MagnaFlow 12646 - MagnaFlow Performance Mufflers - Overview - SummitRacing.com

I did a dual exit aero turbine muffler on my Trans Am GT and it sounded awesome. I am a fan of the muffler!
