cracked exhaust manifold...problem?

So I was going to tackle the exhaust manifold cat delete today and after removing the heat shield I noticed some small cracks in my manifold. Sorry for the cellphone pics but it's all i had at the time. Are these cracks going to be a problem? and if so can I repair it besides getting a whole new manifold? anyone have an extra? Thanks guys.

Re: cracked exhaust manifold...problem?

Yup, You need to replace it. Part of the problem is the A/C water drain is just above it on the firewall.
HOT meets instant cold causes cracks.

Like I said this is just one problem and there could be stress from bottoming out or shit made steel casting.

Re: cracked exhaust manifold...problem?

What James Said!!!!!^^^^ If you cannot find a manifold, look into a header, there are two available, JTR makes one, and OTTP makes one, I have the OTTP stock replacement, and I love it!

Re: cracked exhaust manifold...problem?

Replacements are cheap. Just find damn near anyone who has done a swap and they will sell ya there's man. A 3.7 OR 3.7 mani will fit, but the 3.5 flows better. I think I gave mine away, but may have charged..lol. Just can't remember. My memory SUCKS!

Re: cracked exhaust manifold...problem?

digging up an old thread. The dealer noticed mine was cracked in 4/15 and replaced on my 2010.. it was still under powertrain warranty.. He also said its a problem and the warranty for cracked manifold is extended to 2020 on my truck. I found this thread because I think it is cracked again.

Re: cracked exhaust manifold...problem?

I had mine repaired by a local shop(machine/fab shop) for about $150; held great no more cracks or leaks
