| Paint Over Plasti dip
Hey guys, I just recently have started to try to get rid of the chrome on my truck. I've plasti dipped all the badges along with the bow tie and front cross bar. Only thing really left is the chrome bumpers. I don't really have much money to go get them colored matched at a shop so I was thinking about plasti dipping them and then painting over top of them myself. Any suggestions, experiences, concerns, ideas? Thanks in advance!! |

Are you looking for a clear or matte finish? Painting a clear over it will make it shiny and more durable so it won't peel as easily

| Re: Paint Over Plasti dip I did everything so far with just the matte black plasti dip. But for the bumpers I'm thinking I'd like it to be color matched with the truck paint.

why not just paint? you are wasting money Plasti dip is not meant to be permanent.... unless you want to rattle can paint the truck, i say don't waste your money. to answer the question, yes you can.... i didn't use uv protection, after a year the paint faded see humps on the hood |

Just get them powder coated. I'm a huge advocate of that stuff haha
