Could just be excessive condensation on the cap

Duh. 10w is too thick when the engine is cold so the oil is being whipped up into that nasty goo that's on the bottom of his oil cap. My oil cap has fresh and shiny oil on its bottom side and I've had the turbo on my truck for roughly 4k miles. No issues.

But without it being actively being pulled out and replaced with "fresh" air its not going to evacuate the moisture out. Its just going to boil and re condensate on the "cool" parts
