2006 fuel filter, replacement?

So I figured out why Autozone didnt have a fuel filter listed under "filters" for my truck.. heh. So this bad boy is a no-return fuel system with a supposed maintenance-free, such bullshit. Anyway has anyone attempted to replace the filtering element? The pics I've found so far, which weren't very good, kinda made it look like two separate units fastened together by some plastic. Almost looks like a normal, everyday fuel filter shape in there.

I am pretty sure the fuel filter on the 06+ is inside the gas tank but I could be wrong.

Gah.. forgot to mention in the first post.. yeah it's in the gas tank. Surely someone has tried replacing it aside from just swapping out pump and all.

Are the supposedly maint-free since there is no return line?

Supposed to be service free. And yes, returnless fuel system on the 06+ trucks.
It would be nice if it was replaceable or atleast can be cleaned.
