Manifold cat delete question?

Either I missed or was not there. But will deleting the manifold cat set of the CEL? Planning on doing it this weekend. Going to go ahead and get new donut gasket. The manifold gasket can be reused, correct? Know that some of you have talked about a pinging sound from this. Anyone wrapped with header tape, or is this a bad idea?

Manifold gasket can be reused. Typically doesn't throw a code. You really can't hear the pinging too bad.

Re: Manifold cat delete question?

it may set a CEL. if so, just get some spark plug non foulers to put on the o2 sensor.
i think that mainly depended on the year of the truck.

Re: Manifold cat delete question?

it shouldnt throw any code because its before the cat on the header, if you delete your second cat then you will need to use non foulers
