When I have a tune done mine will be gone too. Too much aggravation for something of such little benefit. Sent from my iPhone using AutoGuide.com Free App |

My truck decided it wanted to passlock me at Vons parking lot yesterday :/ so I left it until today and went and did the passlock reset and it worked! Question, will this happen more often? First time my truck has ever done this. And it was prolly good that I left because I am also the wench throwing type.

It could do it again, but it may not. Any mod such as a remote start/security system installed?

Thanks for the input. And no mods to the security system. I've had the soche (?) Radio harness for about 15k Miles and its never done this. And no HIDs. Haven't take any measures against it yet. If it does it a lot ill have it tuned. As long as my wrench throwing temper dosent snap lol. Ie. If I'm on a first date and this happens its going on craigslist.Lol jk nah ill just use the 10 min wait time to work on my game

If it does it again, check your battery. These trucks hate Passlock & I had a poor battery trigger passlock before.

I had a bad battery for about 6 months after I got it. Never triggered. Dad got me one for graduation lol. And that was in June.

UPDATE Is it gay if.i say i love Jeremy? My truck started right up, first time right after i plugged the pcm back in and hooked up my battery. It starts with and without the passlock on. First time the passlock light started flashing and stayed flashing, but it still started right up. Second and third times, no passlock light, and started like a champ. I love you Jeremy. No homo. I'm very happy my truck starts now!!!! Wooooohhh!!

I think I might have this done. I was leaving for work this morning, and the truck wouldn't start. Stupid Passlock light was flashing. There was a very slow crank associated with it - Chicago was quite cold this morning. So, I got pissed, stormed back inside, and realized that I was left with two options. Drive the Camaro into work, or work from home. Although it was sunny today, excessive amounts of salt are present. My choice was obvious at that point. I later successfully started the truck, after a slow crank and then a fire-up. After starting the truck, I replaced my five year old YellowTop with a brand new AC Delco 86PS. This is the second time I've been bitten by Passlock in the cold due to lower than expected battery. Fail. VATS is gone soon, once I can be without my truck for long enough. I don't give a flying if anyone steals the thing. If they want a 110,000 mile 2004 truck so badly, they can take it. There's plenty of Camrys I am sure they'd rather have...

Just hit Jeremy up. Solid dude, and if its passlock, he can get that fixed for you. Plus, for the price its a no brainer.

| New To The Nation | Re: Truck wont start... I'm very impressed with Jeremy's (limequat's) professionalism and prompt response. I actually already have received the loaner PCM, and I've installed it. I've had great success with it! What started as a Security issue has evolved into much more. -Speed limiter is at 300. You'd be surprised; around here, I've had to leave the left lane because I couldn't keep up with the flow of traffic at 98. -PE Mode Ramp Rate was set to 1. -Torque Management (Traction Control) was set to 50%. -Torque Management (Shifts) was set to 25%. --I need some TM because I live in the mid-waste where we have... ugh... winter. -Tire Size was set to properly accommodate my 31" tires. -Shift Pressure was increased by 40%. What's the result? A much more drivable truck! No longer do I have a lag in throttle response. No longer do I have a cruise control that "floors" the truck. The whole vehicle operates much more smoothly. Shifts are firm, but not so firm that I lose traction on wet pavement. For years I had thought my transmission was slipping - it turns out, that's just the way it was. The transmission feels brand new. The truck has a lot of life in it. The I5 doesn't feel underpowered anymore. To reiterate... l i m e s w a p! ![]() Thanks, Jeremy! Swapping the "lime" was totally worth it!
