I finally got around to fitting the shift boot.




And yes my carpet is dirty as hell. I need to find a local shop that specializes in cleaning automotive carpets.

Fits nice! What did you do to get the boot to fit? Any trimming, glue, etc?

I did next to nothing. I carefully removed the boot from the OEM shifter without splitting any stitching.Then i rolled the leather that surrounds the shifter in a little. Then put it on top of the shifter and slowly set it down(making sure the leather didnt come unrolled as i pushed it down)

well my passenger side is from when i was going to school for ASE's and there's just an assload of grease, and then the rest is from some soda spills. As i said, i just need to find a local shop that can clean it up.

My seats are fubar too, but i may swap/recover them anyways.

thats the best plan matter of fact just take the shifter out and trade your truck in. put the shifter in the new truck
