i had a feeling that somebody was going to do something like this when i first heard about the cash for clunkers program.

but in all honesty, the body styling of those vettes are the worst looking imo.

doesnt really bother me..

the c3 and c4's sucked (except the ZR1)

edit: I still wouldnt consider them clunkers tho..

and that blazer next to it!! I could SO used the dash, console and seats from it..

im so glad this dumb fucking program ends monday

yea my freind/neighbor his dad has a c3 and a c3 and my other neighbor has a c3 i dont like them that much but the zr1 are nice i think the best are the c2's mabey just because my dad has one but i think they are clean looking and not as boxy like the c4 or round like the c3

Might not be the best body style but thats still ashame I think some people miss the point of the program, I'm sure that lazy idiot could have put in a little effort to sell his car and probably made more than 4500 or sell it for 4500 and make someone real happy that doesn't have the money for a brand new car.

who gives a shit those cars are ugly and a dime a dozen. The few rare cars that got destroyed sux but overall I think this was a cool program. It did help spur alot of auto sales. Ford for one had a really good month last month due to people trading crap in for something a little better. Not to mention the fact that this has been done with success in alot of countries overseas.

Does anyone know when the talks about cash for clunkers started in this country? I KNOW it was before obama was in office because I remeber reading about it in all the classic car magazines. Maybe it was another one of those things that Obama traveled through time and put into place.

It may have been a lower end Vette but it is still a Vette!! Sucks to see people blowing them up just for fun. Hell I would have bought it from the guy for $4,500. People have gotten rid of a lot of decent cars for that program. Sad to see them go. They could have resold the cars to less fortunate people or donated them to places.

Thats how I see it sell the things at govt. auctions so that people that can't afford a car can pick one up for a grand or 2, while also making some money back. And I think it's funny how everyone thinks it's such a great program in the end we are all paying for that 4500 that the govt just took off of all those cars.
