| Nation Affiliate | Cracked UCA
So, I had some good weather today and decided to plasti dip some stuff on the truck...while waiting for the coats to dry, I got to looking in the front driver side wheel well and saw this...... ![]() Needless to say it needs to be replaced. There is a small crack starting on the UCA on the other side too in the same place. My question is this....everything is in a bit of a bind anyhow up there from my lift, if I flip the ball joints will that help prevent this in the future? Would spacers help it more too? Any advice is appreciated.

Monk_one had the same issue. went through 2 sets. he didnt have the bj flip. i think its from really heavy tires and rough roads.

Both my UCA's had the same crack in the same spot. Did you crank your TB's after the rancho kit? Can you get a pic of your balljoint angle? I think mine was from the ball joint binding after I cranked the TB's. Having Balljoint flip does help, I flipped mine when I replaced the uca's and haven't had a problem since. with a heavy crank the force isnt distributed across the bj plate, more at the outter two bolts. mine is cracked right now too. the bj flip prolly helps a lil since the uca angle isnt quite as harsh. i will prolly have custom ucas made when the time comes, just a hairline crack now so maybe it will last a while

We lift ours because fat girls can't jump. Makes life easier. Haha, but thanks guys. I'm going to replace them and flip by ball joints. Probably first weekend in March....happy birthday to me.

My UCA's bent there but didn't crack. I bought 2 stock replacements for under $100 I can't remember if GMPartsdirect or if Rockauto had the best deal though.

GMPartsdirect has them. I've already checked. I'll most likely be ordering them soon

| Re: Cracked UCA That would solve the problem, getting new stock arms would be a temporary fix.

Honestly just bending them back and welding them worked for me a few years ago. Still getting pricing on the pieces. Sorry it's taking a while
