DUMPED...a little too much.... -- UPDATED WITH NEW PICS 5.24.2007

Well, went ahead and dropped the truck today. Got 'er nice 'n' low...

So low, it bottoms out on the slightest bump.

Front fenders are worn all the way down to the metal...yes, beyond the plastic, primer AND paint.

Running 255/35/20's.

Dropped (my Z85) with balljoints with ZQ8 coils and ZQ8 leafs with 2" blocks.

Ended up with a 4" to 5" drop in the front with a 4" drop in the rear.

Here's the stink bug   (ZQ8 coils with balljoints and the stock Z85 leafs with the 3" blocks I had in there):

As you can see, the front is slammed. Much lower than the 3" drop in the rear.

Here's the new setup (ZQ8 coils with balljoints and the ZQ8 leafs with 2" blocks):

Threw the Xtreme wheels on there for the hell of it:

It now sits at 29" in the front and 30" in the rear (measuring from the ground to the bottom of the fender). That's why I say it's a 4" to 5" drop in the front.

Tranny crossmember catches on everything. I caught the lamest speed bump earlier.

Man, I hate that your original plan didn't work out...glad you had some options on what you could put together to make it work. Looks really good though. Both wheels (yours and the xtremes) look good on your truck. What is the height diff. between your setup before and your setup now?

Was it hard to change out the leafs?

**edit BTW, my springs should be here today and my blocks should be here on Wednesday, so with any luck I can get mine done this weekend!?!?! :D

Thanks guys.

Yeah, Code. I think I'm going to go with the 1" drop springs.

It's really unsafe to drive it on the freeway as is.

Nothing was really difficult to do in this install, it was just time consuming. The most difficult part in the leafs is trying to get the bolts out. They always back out towards something..either the spare tires, the exhaust or the heatshield on the gas tank.

I was at a 2/3 before and was planning on doing a 3/4. But at the moment, I'm at about a 4.5"-5" drop in the front with a 4" drop in the rear.
