Noob question and fixed my ignition switch

Hey guys finally fixed my issue!
it was my ignition switch(replaced) and passlock(reset)

So I have a new issue, however where do I go to post my questions in the forum>?
currently dealing with my door lock fuse popping and it's making my power windows not work. I have to replace the fuse every time. Has this happened to anyone>?

to the Nation.

Is there any pattern to when the fuse blows or does it just do it randomly? Does the fuse blow when you are trying to operate the switches for the windows or doors? How long have you had the truck?

The fuse usually pops when the driver side Doorlock button is pressed or just randomly pop. it's very tricky

Power for the door lock circuit goes to the logic board in the driver's door switch module. There is no circuit diagram in the Service Manual for the logic board, so it is unclear how the door lock circuit power affects the window circuit. The symptoms do seem to point to a defect in the driver's door switch module. Does the fuse blow if the door lock switch on the passenger door is pressed?

Re: Noob question and fixed my ignition switch

I just unplugged the passenger door switch all together. Plus that window does not work for nothing. Yeah, it's pretty bizarre every-time it pop's my driver side windows will not work. For a while the passenger window would only go down but not up.
Its only when I put a new fuse in the doorlock spot the driver side will work for about 3-4 days and go out again.
I have replaced the master window switch and nothing has changed.

Re: Noob question and fixed my ignition switch

Well, something is causing an intermittent short. A couple of guys have had problems with the wiring breaking in the door harness in the hinge area. Might be a possibility in your situation. To check the wiring you will need to remove the door, which for these trucks is simple. Just remove the two 10mm bolts and the retainers and the door just lifts off the hinge at the pivot. No removing hinges or adjustments required after reinstall.
