I know just about everyone who does not have these wants them and pretty bad. I know some people are looking into the Street Beat Customs lights but they are expensive at $303 before shipping here is the link: Diamond Clear Headlights With Bumper Lights by Custom
Also check out this conversation about the http://www.355nation.net/forum/exterior/27093-clear-headlight-reflectors-back.html The long and short of it is they do not have them in stock and are not sure if they are going to get them again. There is also good chance they were discontinued.
I have decided not only do I want these but I need them so I am going to try to make them from scratch. I have already looked into the light diffuser idea and tried to work with that material but it is very brittle and it does not look that good. I am currently gathering all the tools and supplies to begin making molds for our headlight reflectors. I ordered a vacuum pump and a digital scale today from eBay so that I can properly weight and mix the silicone for the mold.
I will be heading to some stores on Friday to continue picking up silicone, plastic, and other materials. The reflectors I am trying to make will be made from a crystal clear hard plastic so it will be a higher quality than the diffusers hopefully close to the standards of the OEM ones. I will be using extra reflectors I have to create the mold so the new reflectors should clip right in to any ones headlight housings.
I would like to start making the molds as soon as I get the items from eBay which should be late next week or early the week after. Once I get all the kinks worked out and figure out how much it costs to make these I plan on offering them to all of you.
I would also like to eventually make the marker reflectors but I broke mine when I removed them. If anyone has an intact set of marker reflectors I would be interested in them. Also I would like to hear from anyone who has gotten them out intact I image I need to use some glue dissolvent like acetone.
I will continue to update this as I progress through the build please leave your questions, comments, and concerns.
