Re: Project BluePrint - Updated: January 16th, 2013

So, the next modification was planned to be some work on the exhaust system... but this opportunity fell into my lap.

Yes, these are the VRK projector lights that Todd built for Forrest.

The green "demon eye" LEDs do not work in the passenger side headlight and I don't plan on pulling it apart right now.

However, I will be pulling these apart eventually and have a couple different ideas that I plan to look into with some LEDs for them.

I have some new bulbs on the way as one of the bulbs looks a little worn out. Once I get them in, these will be installed in the truck and the tinted reflectors I have installed will be pulled and sent out to Brad.

Special thanks to Rooster for getting ahold of me when he decided that he wasn't going to run these headlights anymore and also to Brad for helping me fund this.

Will be my favorite modification to the truck, though not the last.

can we say... moarloe?

Going to be a nice addition to an already sexy looking truck.
Are you going to paint the reflector white or blue?

Re: Project BluePrint - Updated: January 16th, 2013

Honestly, not really sure what I want to do with the headlights when I open them up.

Thought about a ghost halo effect with some white light and then fix the green demon eyes. Thought about painting the projector surround. Thought about using a light blue laminex tint to cover the headlight and DRL lens... lots of ideas right now.

However, my main goal is to get these on the truck since they are badass as is. Waiting for the bulbs sucks. Might just have to open them up in the mean time.

Re: Project BluePrint - Updated: January 16th, 2013

Blah, so I did more work because the drone from the cat sitting on the crossmember has been killing me.

and then we did this

and now it's back in the truck. Need to cut the back section of the tail pipe off and do a turn down tip just off the muffler. This will free up a little more room for exhaust to flex.

Damn this crossmember has been a pain in the ass.

Yeah, no shit. Bane of my exhaust work.

However, it's just clearance.

Nothing to complicated.
