| SSK Site Sponsor/WCSM Cordinator | Removing screw for shifter!!!!! Please read The screw is tight as hell, and lock tighted in the d-hole of the shifter mount. MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING A #30 TORX, THAT IS IN VERY GOOD SHAPE. I used a torx in a 1/4 socket on a 1/4 drive rachet. Make sure you are useing a #30 torx. you may have to grind the end of the torx to get the teeth good. Very little, the torx gets bigger the shorter you grind. make sure the torx is all the way in the screw and straight. its hella tight. if you completely strip out the torx you may have to use an easy out or even drill it out(worse case). if you destroy the screw, you can buy a m6X1 flat head cap screw from the hard ware store. if you have to drill it out. drill from the bottom, there is a hole in the bottom of the d-hole that the shifter goes into. Also drilling from the bottom, the drill will grab at some piont and break it loose. Take your time, im not lying, this little screw is very tight. heres the setup i used. remember nice and straight all the way engaged with a good condition torx.

| Re: Removing screw for shifter!!!!! Please read Hey, that's what I used! I found it's also easier to move the shifter all the way down into first gear, you get more room. |

| Nation Advocate | Re: Removing screw for shifter!!!!! Please read Your not joking when you say its tight!!....i went out and bought a new set of torx wrenches for this. I had a harder time tightning the screw then loosening it....i'm gonna have to go buy the socket type so i can get it tightned all the way. |
