Re: SuperMod DayTime Running Light Kit for the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon Trucks

Supermod, I know you were looking into this already & I'm certain that by the looks of the 'fuse' portion of your kit you've taken care of this, but this set-up looks very familiar to the set-up a few people have used earlier that turned all the parking lights on (not just the markers) and potentially backfed the system.

Can you explain what you did to prevent this? Like I said, you've got some SMM (supermod magic) going on with the 'fuse' side of the kit, and I reckon that was to take care of the previous problems with this set-up.

This is so much awesomeness!! I dont have the kit but have to say that our trucks looks way better with the upper DRLs on instead of the headlights. So definitely worth the buy!

I used electronic switching instead of a bulky external relay.

Ya I agree, I love the looks of the DRL's in our trucks. It separates us from others.

Re: SuperMod DayTime Running Light Kit for the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon Trucks

Awesome -- yea, having another external relay under there sure makes it hard to get the fuse box on & off!

For all you guys who are running HIDs, this mod is a must have!

Re: SuperMod DayTime Running Light Kit for the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon Trucks

Ok how about taking the DTRL of an 2005 colly and use the LED's for DTRL instead of the parking lights on top? How to do that?
