265 76 R16 stock z71 suspension?

Is this possible with minimal to no rubbing?

I have a 2006 chevy colorado stock z71 suspension (265/75/15 currently).

Re: 265 76 R16 stock z71 suspension?

You mean the plan is to go from stock 265/75/15's to 265/"75"/16's, correct?

If so, there's no difference in tire circumference (bigger rim/inner) so it won't rub.

The change in wheel size does not affect the tire size

Maybe I didn't say it well, or you read it wrong, but 265 75 16 is bigger than 265 75 15. The same aspect ratio on a bigger rim has no choice but to equal a bigger tire. Now do you understand?

Call me an Idiot (not the 1st), but I've never heard of a "76" aspect ratio for tires...

You wouldnt be alone there, never heard of a 76 ratio but 265/75r16 is a larger diameter than 265/75r15. It's the same sidewall height and width of tread but the larger rim makes the tire 1 inch more in diameter.

Thank you for answering. From what I read around here, the results are mixed. Some combinations rub, others don't. I won't need a tb lift will I?

There are multiple diameter, width, and offsets available for those.
Which specifically were you going for?

17 inch rim for 265mm wide tires. 265 70 17 im guessing seeing as ko2's don't come in 265 75 16??(maybe im wrong)

Get your tires, get wheels with around 4.5 inches of backspace, crank the torsion bars up about an inch, get an alignment, done.

Do you think the rancho 4 inch suspension lift is worth it in the long run? I don't want to crank torsion bars.

Re: 265 76 R16 stock z71 suspension?

I had my TBs cranked and later put on the rancho 4'' lift. I'd say it was worth it. The ride is better and it didn't have much of an effect on the drivability of the truck.

Going back to your original question - if you run wheels with offset close to stock (~30mm), you will be ok to run that tire size. I ran 265/70/17 on stock denali wheels (31mm offset) and no rub.

265/70/17 came stock on 2009+ z71s so they wil probably fit...

As far as cranking the torsion bars an inch is nothing... when guys start going over 2 inches the ride gets rough

The rancho kit is worth it if you want to run 33s and not have to do an extreme torsion bar crank and/or trim and cut to get them to fit... but sub frame kits are more money.

Rancho states you can use max 285/70/17. Is that with 2" or more tb crank in addition to the kit, or just with kit? I'm going to look at all the tire threads here and get a good idea of what size gives what look. Foxywalshy's truck on the front page has 4" rancho and nice tires. I want that sort of look/stance.

No need to crank with the rancho kit to fit that size. It's only an inch bigger than 265/70/17.
