Tire size for H3 wheels...

I did a search and couldn't find what I was looking for.

What size tire are y'all with H3 rims running? I have a '04 Z71 w/ no lift (for now) on stock 15" and 31/10.5/15 (265/75 comparable size) and just scored a set of H3's 16"ers off CraigsList. According to my favorite tire/wheel calculator, 265/70/16 are close enough to stock size (-.02%) as to not have to re-calibrate the speedometer. I could also fit a 265/75, but re-calibrate would (for me) be required. A minor pain but not a deal killer. 285/75 are also available on the H3, but I'm not sure of clearance.

Also, with the H3's .05mm more backspacing, does anyone have any rubbing issues?

Thanks in advance.

Jim

the H3 wheels look sweet on these trucks. id like to have a CC z71 v8 with some in the future. the wheel and tires you want will fit good with no rubbing.

I use 265/75/16 tires. You will fit, but be prepared for them to just slightly rub on the sway bar at full lock. The rubbing is very minor and just takes the black paint off the sway bar. To fit the 285s you would have to be lifted and/or a body lift to clear. FMRJPR has/had 285s on H3s a while back.

Cool. I was planing on installing longer lug studs and 1/4" spacers, but that seen unnecessary. Also thinking that 285s might be pushing it. 265/75 it is.

That was the info I needed. Thanks.
