What is a V8 ZQ8?
2009 - 2012 Chevrolet Colorado or GMC Canyon that came from the factory with a 5.3L V8 and ZQ8 Sport Suspension.
How many were made?
1109 V8 ZQ8 Trucks were built by GM from 2009 - 2012 for both Chevrolet and GMC and distributed across the USA and Canada markets.
Here is the overall breakdown:
How do I know if mine is one?
Look on the RPO sticker located on the back of the glove box door. You are looking for 2 different RPO Codes.
(2009) You're looking for LH8 and ZQ8 RPO Codes. (2010 - 2012) You're looking for LH9 and ZQ8 RPO codes.
What is the benefit of being on the registry?
You will be given your truck's unique build sequence number (i.e. #500 of 1109). With that, you will also have access to the V8 ZQ8 Registry database that contains the build data for every V8 ZQ8 made. Even the original test truck that was built in Jan. 2008. You locate your truck's row of data with its unique build sequence number. Then you can filter RPO Columns to drill down to see how many were built like yours. Or, you can just filter RPO options to see how many trucks were made of a specific subset of options. Shhhh... I wont tell you that there was only one V8 ZQ8 GMC Canyon built in 2012. I didn't think any were built because the brochure didn't have it listed as an option for 2012 on the GMC Canyons. Someone figured out how to get it done. Kicker... It's not a USA truck. It was built for the Canadian market. Lots of cool info to figure out in the database.

How Do I Join the Registry?
There are 3 ways to join.
1. Go to the Facebook page and ask to join. You will be asked to provide 3 pieces of information.
• Your VIN to verify your truck is a V8 ZQ8.
• Your City/State to build a map of where they all wound up. The dot's will be large enough to keep trucks safe. It will be a US/Canada map.
• Your email address for Registry communication purposes.
Providing your VIN is required to join. They are all already in the database and I am the only one who see's VINs. The public version of the database has all VIN numbers redacted to ensure trucks and their owners are protected. Providing the City/State and email address are optional. I am slowly working on building the data for where each truck is currently registered to build the map.
2. Send me a PM titled "Registry Membership Request" and include your VIN, Location, and Email Address. I will send you a copy of the V8 ZQ8 Registry.
3. Send an email to the address below with "Registry Membership Request" in the subject and your VIN and City/State in the body of the email.
Email address: V8.ZQ8.Registry@GMail.com
How much does this cost?
All this can be yours for 3 easy monthly payments of $0.00. That's right friends, its FREE. I've spent hundreds of hours over a 5 year period gathering VINs, pulling build data, compiling, and verifying the database. Along with that, I have been maintaining a $15 monthly membership with Compnine so they can pull custom queries against their live database.

Monroney Sticker Reproductions

I am in talks with Triple A Enterprises. I am trying to initiate a source for Monroney Sticker reproductions for our trucks. They have created a program to reproduce the sticker for 2011 3LT so far that I know of.
Website: Home - Triple A Enterprises
Sample Monroney Sticker Reproduction:
In order to provide the service, they need a Monroney sticker for each model year as well as your GM Invoice. Right now we have been able to provide them with Colorado 3LT monroney stickers. We really need GMC 3SC & GMC ZQ8 + LH9 copies for 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012. If you still have yout 3SC or ZQ8 + LH9 package Monroney sticker, please send me a copy so I can get it to them. (Email at the bottom of this post.)
If you don't have the original GM Invoice, it can be obtained for $50 through the link below.
Site Maintenance
They also need as many copies of GM Invoices we can put together to help them build a database for pricing information for all option combinations. So if anyone has their original Dealer Invoice, and are willing to scan it and send it, please do.
Until they build a database of pricing for these trucks, individuals would have to provide the exact dealer invoice for their VIN so they could reproduce the Monroney sticker.
Hoping we can make this happen so others can follow the same path if they choose to.
Any contributions on your part will further the cause and lay the ground work for others in the future. And by contributions, i mean Monroney stickers and copies of dealer invoices.
