1ST Gen S - Blazer..sorry no 355 here

I’ve posted pics here and there, but figured I’d throw up a build thread for you guys to see..
It’s a 1985 blazer, 2dr, 2wd, had a 2.8 v6 and manual trans.

It’s now still a 1985 blazer, but with a 3.5, and 4l60e, custom header, custom exhaust, and currently getting its body worked and painted..

Will be static lowered, and rollin on 15x4 in the front and 15x15 in rear.

This one is being made to look like it’s a door slammer, but in fact it’ll be a fun reliable drive anywhere vehicle.

And big thanks to Supermod for the ported TB and computer reprogram!

When we got it..$170 dollars bought this truck!

First prime/quick body work

Completed exhaust/header/slip on

Everyone loves body work!

After 1st clear, will sand down the clear and reassemble the truck. Then will lay out the flames, airbrush work, pin striping and then final clear..

Re: 1ST GEN Blazer..sorry no 355 here

getting ready for wet sanding and prepping for red and black on the quarters and roof.

after the red and black the clear will be sanded, and the fenders/doors installed and aligned. once they are aligned, the flames will be laid out, and it'll be taken apart for the final time to be fully painted, jambed (flames through the door jambs) firewall painted, inner fenders painted, and the last 3 coats of clear.

and yes there will be a roll pan added, but it wont be welded on until we get working on the rear frame (shorten axle, tub rear, new 2x3 frame section, roll cage)

Nice man looking good.
Love to see some step by step body work.
ill put together a 'how to' on some simple body work.

although body work is easy to do, it does take a certain amount of know how to pick it up.
Re: 1ST GEN Blazer..sorry no 355 here

out of the booth and back home...

now time to assemble, wet sand and start laying out the flames.

Re: 1ST GEN Blazer..sorry no 355 here

You paint it there at your house ?
small things i spray in the garage. i don't seal anything, i don't wet the floor, no fans, all that crazy talk is just paranoia.

i have a booth i use for completes and big stuff.

no matter what you will get dirt in the clear. you should wet sand and buff everything you do and that dirt will be gone and look perfect.

not sure on color of pin-striping around flames yet..
