So here is my housing and axle shafts the wifey picked up from the local axle shop. Now there are a couple problems with it, and it’ll go back to the shop to be fixed.
This really sucks, as my truck is sitting collecting dust and the chassis shop is like wtf…
So you can see the axle in the pics, and the round back image I posted is the style housing they were supposed to use (I paid extra for that housing), and I ordered 3” long wheel studs, and the ones in the pic look like stock length studs.

I’m not going to put the shop on blast, as they are a really good shop, and I’ll give them the chance to make it right. I’m sure something got overlooked with the holidays. It just sucks because I’m the one who’s losing out with having to wait and wait and wait…

Anyways, enjoy the pics of my tiny 9”…

So here it is the 8th and I still don’t have my housing back. Ugh. I’m getting a bit pissed off as the longer they take, the longer my truck just sits collecting dust. When I ordered it, I went over what I needed exactly, line by line. And it still was ordered incorrectly. I blame it on the holidays, but this is getting ridiculous. I could’ve ordered it online through currie or moser and had it delivered exactly how I wanted, only a few days after being ordered, but I wanted to support a locally owned shop, and now I’m paying for that decision. I’ll be home in about 5 weeks, and I’m pretty sure I won’t be able to drive my car like I had planned.
Rant over..

Finally… the ‘new’ axle came in with the correct wheel studs, and the correct housing. Took just about a month, and I’m sure it would have been faster but the holidays were right there.
Now to assemble, and take it to the shop to get the link bars fabbed up.

For those who asked, it is 33.5 inches wheel mount surface (WMS) to wms..

I cannot catch a break. Not sure wtf is wrong with these people, but when I ordered my axle shafts and housing I went over line by line what I needed. What type of wheels I had, type of lug nuts for said wheels, exact style of the housing, the brakes I was using, and they still can’t get it right. It would be sooooo much easier if I wasn’t on the other side of the world, but for f*cks sake I am so pissed off about this. What is wrong this time you ask? They put in the wrong size wheels studs. This is the second time. The first were too short, now they’re the right length, but wrong thickness, there for my rotors don’t fit, and my brand new lug nuts don’t work.
Not a big deal to pull the shafts out, take time to go down to the shop and have them press new ones in right? Why didn’t they just get the right parts the first time and do it correctly.
UGH this is driving me nuts. Absolutely nuts.

Sorry, man that sucks. They obviously don't have any quality control
that is what I think, an really sucks for the buyer (me)…

everytime i see that rear end i laugh. its so small...lol
33 inches from wheel mount to wheel mount… the tires at 21 inches wide each are bigger than the rear end by 9 inches...

Going a bit slower than i had thought..
But I'm back in the usa now, I'll be released and at my house hopefully in less than 14 days. Then i can take over and finish up the fabrication needed and get it on the road!
