I am wondering how much will a 2" belltech lowering kit without shocks will effect the ride of the truck? I was thinking that it would be a good idea to get the shocks with the kit. But Im not sure if stock shocks will perform just as well with the kit and should save the money.

depends on the kit, I just did 2" ball joints, and ZQ8 leaf springs in the rear. Ride was ok. I then upgraded to Bilstein shocks front a rear, and it was a huge difference. Ride is a lot better, more controlled, no dives under braking

If you want the stock ride I would go with ball joints. If your going to get shocks as well then I would suggest the Belltech adjustable struts in case you want to go lower later. Which you will want to.
