Got my timing chain all replaced along with a new exhaust cam gear. The manual says to actuat the gear to full advance befor tightening the centor bolt. Is that clockwise? any help would be great!!!!!

Yeah, advance should be clockwise (same direction as engine rotation).

I though about it a bit more, and I guess it depends on what's being turned.

Full advance is when the cam is turned clockwise relative to the gear. Or when the gear is turned counterclockwise relative to the cam.

I am also in the process of putting my rebuilt 3.5 back together and all of the timing components are new except the exhaust cam actuator, problem is it doesn't have much play/movement in it and I'm not sure if it's good or not? Does anyone know how much it should move clockwise before you torque it down to try and keep it advanced like it calls for?
