2007 GMC Canyon ExCab Zq8 Victory Red w/3.7l

I bought this little girl on may 25th, 2010, from a guy in S.W. Connecticut. Found the truck on ebay, bid, but it didnt sell because of the reserve price(14,500). I let go of it and had started looking at other trucks when the seller sent me a second chance offer that was too good to be true, and I ended up buying the truck. I bought it from the original owners, a couple in their mid 60s, and then the fun began. Best part about the auction/selling process was that they didnt even know it was a zq8, or anything more than a run of the mill truck, which made the end price a little nicer :)

On the drive home from CT to KS, stock as can be

Didn't do much to her at first except for 20% tint on the front two windows

Changed some of the cluster lights to blue

Built a custom fiberglass box that fit between the seats, also installed Rockford 3ways in the front doors and Rockford components in the rear doors

Installed the GMAUXV3 auxillary input for the stock radio

Bought an UltraGauge, made a custom semi permanent bracket for it

Installed some white LED strips and a white LED Dome Light

Adapted a 2007+ Fullsize grill emblem onto my grill

Painted my tailgate handle and mirrors to match.

Finally got around to lowering it .75”/1”. Cut a half coil off the fronts, and Belltech Blocks on the rear

Bought new Chrome/Red handles from the local GM Dealer.

Line-X did a fantastic job on the bed.

I decided to spend some $$ on some underhood goodies. Replaced stock gutted mani for an OTTP shorty. Also installed Supersparks and a SuperMod PTB.

I followed the How-To by rshadd and custom installed a GM Homelink module in the console.

Installed FatMat on the floor/back wall/doors/Ceiling.

The day I bought it:

Current:

I don't have any other plans for now besides a tune at USASM. I love my 355

for old time's sake, this is what I built and drove daily before I sold it to buy the Canyon:

1994 4.3l 5spd ExCab S-10, bagged, 5-link in the rear, EDC, (2) AudioBahn 10" shaved everything, fresh paint, and tons of other stuff. Comparing my old s-10 to my canyon, I havent really done much.

I haven't gone nearly that in-depth on my current vehicle. Your truck looks great!

Do my gauge lighting please lol
give me your cluster! lol

Derek, yeah, its pretty decent, I think the scangauge is a little fancier, hence the added price.

May have to have you help me pull it out. I haven't pulled that out before.
