2015 Colorado Brake Failure

Anyone else have this? GM Customer Support has not helped very much.

Long story short... The brakes went to the floor in my 2015 and caused an accident. They had an engineer come out and determine the cause. Claimed that the power brake booster had a bent linkage so they replaced that and the bracket for the brake pedal assembly.

They currently have the truck at the body shop.

Since this whole ordeal has been such a headache, I've had to take time off work to handle things, I have a ticket for an accident and I'm paying for a vehicle I don't get to drive I've requested to be compensated.

I figure at least they could give me diminished value since the truck has an accident on it and some cash on top for my headache and such. They keep dodging my phone calls and saying that they are waiting to hear back from another department...So forth.

I've consulted a lawyer and they said to wait it out a little bit longer to see. If not, I guess I'll be taking GM to court since they basically admitted fault when they agreed to repair my truck.

Does GM Customer Service occupy this site like they do on Camaro5 and such?

There is more activity at coloradofans.com. I have not heard of brake failure (yet) thought.

A truck internet forum probably won't be giving you the answers you are looking for. There is Custom Services coming through the treads, but they are representatives that are unable to make any of the decisions are you looking for.
Be patient, once the lawyers get involved and that is everytime there is someone injured, things go into slow motion. They are not responding because they are waiting for the lawyers to ive them an opinion of what they can legally do and say. The legal system is slow but fair if you don't muck it up by getting impatient and trying to circumvent the process.

Besides if they do not comeback with an offer that is fair you can always sue them at that time. Just don't think it will be fast it is not.
damn! this shit is serious. If they confirm a real problem in the whole production the media is gonna set all this launch on fire.

About the accident, are you ok bro?

any pics?

I'd want to know what caused the linkage and bracket to bend. These sound like symptoms of a bigger issue to me.

There is a GM customer service rep that monitors this site, but I've never seen where they have been much of a help other then get you in touch with you local dealer.

Keep us updated.
I'm observing too many noobs with only one post product bashing the new GM trucks on this website and C-Fans quite frequently with no evidence.
.........

I'm calling this thread out to be complete B.S. without proof of pics.

haha I can see that.

I read it as one of those....you used words now post pics of the accident.
The truck is getting a lot of negative, and way more than it should be of complaints that are not even justiyable.

mmm.. interesting... yota owners pissed off ´cause the new killer rado?
Sorry for the lack of replies. I didn't get any notifications to my e-mail that this thread took off..

So I have some pics. And they paid for my truck to be fully repaired.

I also was compensated, but I won't say how much.
One of the pictures shows the pedal lower than it should be, one of the damage and one of the brake lights being stuck on.

Nope. I'm GM loyal. I've always had GM products.. I had a 2006 Colorado until this 15.

I also have had a 2011 Camaro SS/RS M6 LSX376, 1994 Camaro Z28 LSX331, 1999 Sonoma... so forth.
my mistake, sorry bro!

Glad to hear your truck is repaired at no cost and most important of all, that you´re ok.
Well I'm glad GM took care of you and the truck

BTW, you should join the Capital Chapter........you'd be 1st member of the chapter with a second gen Colorado
