I cant find a 4x4 frame, but have found a 2WD Z85 frame. What has to be done since my truck is already 4x4? Axels swapped and install a Torsion Bar Cross member? I'm unsure of what else would need to be done.
The front shock towers are different too I believe. 4x4 are set up for shocks, 2wd take coil struts.. and mounting the front diff would require drilling the frame up front as well. Overall, this would be a big pain in the ass
Front crossmember is not the same, LCA mounts are different, shock towers are different, alignment on lower control arms where 4x4 is on upper control arms. Lots of fab work to make that work.
I have a 2008 regular cab 4x4 2.9l WT that has a pretty rusty frame(the whole frame isnt junk. Just certain parts). I found a donor frame but it's a 2008 regular cab 4x2 WT. What do I need to keep from the 4x4 frame to use the 4x2 frame? (I can also make pieces to replace what's too rotted)
