So iv'e decided its time to do something about the sad old blazer engine. Its currently got a early 90s tbi 350 with a carb on it. Im thinking maybe new heads and a cam. My neighbor was cleaning out his garage and gave me an aluminium performer intake that he had on his chevelle before he went to FI so that along with a new carb will also be going on. I was thinking new vortec heads from GM.

These seem like a good deal too. Anyone ever use engine quest heads before? Based on a quick search people seem to like them.

What i have no idea about is a cam? I know nothing about them...
Also would like recommendations on a carb.

Im not after 500hp or anything. I just want to wake it up a little.

If you search around they have packages with heads, cams, intakes. As for the carb it's really up to you, I like edelbrock because they have good quality and stand by their product, just make sure it's rate correctly for how much air your motor will move.

All the packages ive seen come with aluminium heads are more focused on top end power. they are designed for muscle cars not off roading.
