Anybody has pics of both covers side by side? I would like to check the bolt pattern. According to the forum tbss, they may be the same, just the 8.6" is more shallow.

That is curious. I'd think it would be kind of surprising if the same. I am wondering what the strength difference between the two is. Is the 8.6" that much better?

As there is no girdle cover for the 8.0", I was thinking of installing one made for the 8.6" if the bolt pattern is the same..

Could always check local parts stores, see if they the cover gaskets on hand
