For 6 months or so I had abs fault everytime I would get on the brakes until the system would automatically shut off. I knew it was a sensor up front just never got around to fixing it. Recently the ABS hasn't worked at all. As soon as I start my truck the ABS light is on. How can I troubleshoot this?

Also, My rear brakes squeal very loudly and are really grabby when its wet. To the point of locking up the rear wheels on wet pavement. Can I just back out the adjuster? or will it screw up my brake bias? I've checked the pads and they are about 50 percent.

I have the same problem with the brakes, after a few times using them it goes away but havent found a fix for it yet

if the rears are making noise it could be a leaking seal.

Unfortunately it's pretty common for shoes to be grabby when wet. I have Raybestos on the rear (I think). And they are not grabby, this year so far (in the 2 days of rain we've seen since spring), and all through last winter. Other vehicles with shoes though, I've had the same grabby nature.

My factory drums were in bad shape, so I have new shoes and drums, actually. No squeak since.
