Brought this truck up from Tennessee to Pittsburgh to be my weekend toy. Was rather entertaining having three guys in a Cobalt for 11 hours, which ended with a short nap in a Wal-Mart parking lot waiting for the dealer to open.

Previous owner had the windows tinted, 22" Boss 330s, and some haggardly installed HID put in it. Also, the tails, and brake light have been "tinted". Those will go.

Bringing it home.

Couple pics with my Cobalt

At this point I've owned the truck for a little over a month now, and it's getting time to tear into it.

Found a Undercover ABS tonneau cover at a swap meet for $100. One corner is messed up and the harware needs blasted/painted. But for the price, couldn't pass it up. I'll probably smooth and color match it.

22's are way too big for these trucks IMO, so I ordered a set of 20's for it, wrapped in Hankook Ventus Evos. 245/35 if I remember correctly. This is how the truck sits now.

Ordered a DJM 3/4 kit (arms/blocks) from SS Colly earlier this week. Should be in tomorrow!

Also, sold the 22s yesterday, so I went ahead and ordered a JTR lo-pro tranny x-member, and a rollpan from modshop inc.

Cant wait to get this thing looking how I want it to, then I can start tossing go fast goodies at it!

Need a new video of the obnoxious sound. I mean infectious sound.
Is it just me or does your coolant and wiper fluid reservoirs look half cocked? Like the new clean look. Can't decide between a tbss cover or a camaro ss cover...

Just noticed something else... with the tbss cover, do you have to remove it to add oil?
Gotcha. You posted and i edited at the same time. Do you have to remove the tbss cover to add oil? Is it a pain or just the center bolt?
There is a bracket/hinge towards the back that bolts to the intake mani. Then there is a winged bolt (which GMPartsDirect didnt sent me...) that bolts in the little circle behind the SS logo. Unscrew the bolt and the cover lifts up in the same manner as the hood. If that makes sense?
Makes complete sense. One wing nut, lift to fill.
Yup. James even went above and beyond. Since he had my computer as well, he made it so all I have to do is plug it in.
Don't bring your truck to south texas... I will find it and swap a lot of parts in the middle of the night! :D
Oh its beat haha. So are my tires.

Thinking on some 18x9s with some more meat. I know you like meat. Maybe some more offset and Z71 flares. I dunno.
We can just trade trucks if you want Z71 flares. Lol. I'm 2 weeks away from 110,000 miles. Lol. She is going to be begging for a 6.2 short block. Since you did such a good job on that cam of yours. Lol
I touched it and I think Matt rubbed his butt on it.
Thing has been through a love fest then. Lol
You bite your tongue! My truck is a nice lady.
Lol. Underneath that pretty white dress is anything but innocence.
I sold my replacement wiper cowl. Need to get another one. Mine is in worse shape than yours.
The sway bars do a lot for cornering. I need new end links now though. Lol.
