Brought this truck up from Tennessee to Pittsburgh to be my weekend toy. Was rather entertaining having three guys in a Cobalt for 11 hours, which ended with a short nap in a Wal-Mart parking lot waiting for the dealer to open.

Previous owner had the windows tinted, 22" Boss 330s, and some haggardly installed HID put in it. Also, the tails, and brake light have been "tinted". Those will go.

Bringing it home.

Couple pics with my Cobalt

At this point I've owned the truck for a little over a month now, and it's getting time to tear into it.

Found a Undercover ABS tonneau cover at a swap meet for $100. One corner is messed up and the harware needs blasted/painted. But for the price, couldn't pass it up. I'll probably smooth and color match it.

22's are way too big for these trucks IMO, so I ordered a set of 20's for it, wrapped in Hankook Ventus Evos. 245/35 if I remember correctly. This is how the truck sits now.

Ordered a DJM 3/4 kit (arms/blocks) from SS Colly earlier this week. Should be in tomorrow!

Also, sold the 22s yesterday, so I went ahead and ordered a JTR lo-pro tranny x-member, and a rollpan from modshop inc.

Cant wait to get this thing looking how I want it to, then I can start tossing go fast goodies at it!

Looks real good. Heck it looks just like mine, but do I see a couple differences.

What's that gauge thing behind the MAF sensor? Did you add the foil covering to the heater line?

Add some Redline Hood Struts to your list. They're really nice to have and help clean up the engine bay by getting rid of that hood prop.

Nope. I didn't trim anything. I do notice that my TBSS cover is cut differently in the front from the other covers that I've seen. I'm not sure if it's a difference between years or if the guy that I bought it from modified it. If he did, he did a great job because it doesn't appear like it's been trimmed at all. I mean the edges are all nice and smooth and the insulation contours to the edges. I like how mine flows.
That makes sense. The guy that I got mine from removed it in order to install a supercharger, so I wouldn't surprise me that he had a 4" inlet pipe.
I need to stop picking through Rich's how-tos. Every time I get bored I spend money.
:naughty:

And just in case you need more ways to spend you money... Have you thought about upholstering the underside on your tonneau cover?

I used some material that I found at Home Depot to cover mine.

It's just glued in-place with some 3M spray adhesive.

The material gives it a finished look. Bedrug also sells matching material on their site.

Aeroforce Technology Inc | Products - Interceptor

"Dual Interceptor Option: Two Interceptors can be purchased with a special splitter cable that allows both gauges to operate simultaneously. The second gauge of a dual set in most cases is simply another single gauge programmed to working in tandem. The exception is the SR dual set in which case the second gauge will show a smaller subset of parameters that the main gauge. This is due to limitations of the Chrysler PCM. Check the list of parameters and features for more details. This second gauge also will not have a performance timer. "
The HVAC control looks good. @captainrab does nice work. Are those purple LED's or are the @DKMoulds knobs purple?
