Has anyone tried/succeeded in cutting thier coil springs to drop the front 2-3"?

I did it at first.. Made the suspension weak as fuck and had to replace the blown strut when I done it right... I would suggest doing it the right way if you wanna drop it that much.

yeah i was going to say just do it the right ways. might save u more money in the long run.

Yeah, it works. I've cut Z85 coils for a 1" drop and ZQ8 coils about 3".

But you also run the risk of having a loose coil in the shock assembly. I was fortunate with mine to where as long as the suspension was compressed, the coil remained fixed. But as soon as you'd unload the suspension, you can easily move the coil around.

The ride wasn't all that bad either.
