ok i just did a 4.10 gear swap and changed both my cv axles drove it a little and started hearing a knock in curves. so i looked under the truck on the drivers side and my boot is doing this
The boots are never set properly on the aftermarket shafts, you need to pull the clamped section in the center towards the outside of the truck a few inches so you only have about 2" of shaft exposed between the two boots.
