Hello, i have a 2005 GMC Canyon Z85 and the blower motor is not working, once i get up to speed i get a very slight amount of air pushing the heat out the vents, due to outside pressure and old seals, so the heat does work.., i replaced the blower motor and bench tested it, works. i replaced the resistor along with the whole harness and still, dosent work. what other major components could cause this problem? I believe maybe the switch in the dash? i also checked and replaced the blower motor fuse but NOT the relay (if there is one, i do NOT have auto climate control)

Any help is appreciated!
Thank you!

Welcome to the Nation.

It's been a while since the last blower issue. It could be a power problem, but most of the time it is caused by the ground side of the circuit. Check for power first. Remove the connector for the blower. With the key 'on' check for 12 volts at the Brown wire, using a good ground under the instrument panel. If okay, check for 12 volts using the Brown and Orange (ground) wires with the blower switch in one of the positions. If you don't get 12 volts across the Brown and Orange wires, most likely the ground is bad someplace.

If the ground is suspect, go to the engine compartment and remove the air filter case. Behind the case, mounted on the fender wall, you will see a small black box. That is where the blower ground is attached. Remove the one bolt and clean the box tab and the fender wall. Reinstall and check. If you suspect corrosion inside the box it can be pried open to inspect.

Post back what you find. There are other possibilities.
