This is my current build , work in progress 2012 Colorado extended cab . Left front hit which damage radiator support and right front fender.

Engine block cleaned, I did not clean oil pan and head due to installing a new pan and waiting for my ported head with valve job and springs from texas speed should be here in a few weeks ...

6L80 transmission I picked up from my friends transmission shop a gift from him , not sure if it will hold up but purchasing transmission parts to beef it up .

I picked up a 6l80 from my good friend and owner of a transmission shop, I stock and I am sure it wont last too long. So getting parts together to make it stronger once it gives out

2020 silverado 18 inch wheels ... wheel inside diameter had to be enlarge to fit the huge colorado hub. Once i had the wheel finished , i sent them out for powder coating and installs michelin pilot 4s tires . front 235/45/18 and rear 265/40/18 ended with 26.3 wheel od total...

Removed old vinyl carpet and installed black moulded carpet.. carpet needs to be cleaned will do it prior to installing seat once the get the leather put on.. should look good

starting to put engine bay stuff back together , Frame has some surface rust which i will wire brush and chemically neutralize and paint prior to engine installation .eventually once truck is running and painted i will start working on another frame i have getting powder coated and custom rear ...but first it has to run i dont want to delay it.

Truck pictures when i was testing wheels prior to powder coating , friend let me borrow 4 different tire sizes to see which one i was going with.. .. Really need to lower this wheel gap is huge ...:oops:

This is still a work in progress ..parts waiting on.
current performance harness due here 6/20/20 as per them.
sent ecm and tcm from transmission to get flash by them also that should be here next week.
waiting for texas speed to sent my heads back and also f35 camshaft 235/248 .649/.615, new timing chain ,
coan custom convertor 3600-3800 stall
id 1050x injectors i order them from montmotorsports gave me a great price
i need to order lifters thinking of going with some johnson lifters not sure what model will look into it this week.
Thats what i have for now will continue to post more about build once the rerst of my parts arrive and i have time to start putting things together...

Pretty sick build you got going on here. The wheels look sharp. Can't wait to see the progress and completed project.

WOW, and thank you for taking the time to post the pictures and tell your story. Even if I don't follow or understand every detail of what you're doing. In high school in the late 60's, I wanted to be a mechanic. Started working part time after school at a garage sweeping floors, cleaning parts and helping. After about a year, I realized I didn't have the where-with-all for that kind of work. But I do enjoy reading these kind of stories. Once again, thanks for sharing. Looking forward to seeing the Colorado when finished.

Well I got a couple of things in the mail today, seems like my parts are taking for ever..
  1. received walbro hellcat pulse modulate fuel pump today and I also received the new lug nuts to match my black wheels.. update on heads and cam Texas speed said another week or two.. I also ordered my hp tuners today and independent nitrous fuel cell with built in fuel pump and regulator . Can’t wait to start building becoming very anxious 😁😁

Finally my heads arrived , cam , timing chain , and pushrods. Will start building soon guys.😊
