Can you use transmission fluid in power steering?

You know years ago we use to use ATF in Power steering. BUT why do it? Use the correct stuff. Who knows what has changed in the last 50 years to power steering components and power steering fluids.

power steering fluid is pretty much ATF without the dye and friction modifiers. it'll work as they're both hydraulic fluids doing hydraulic fluid things but you should use the right stuff if you can. When I did my trans fluid flush at 60k miles, I used the rest of the spare dex 6 to flush the power steering and it works
