CEL came on 2 weeks ago.. i forgot the code but it was cam and crank was out of line??? right when it came on it started to sputter for about 1 min. Well i unplugged Neg cable and it went off until today it came back on, its been 2 weeks. I unplugged it again and now its gone again...What could cause this and how bad could it be? Maybe just a sensor.

I had something along the same lines as you have...or at least it seems from your short description.

My engine would violently shake from side to side and it also threw a code.

I scanned it and came up with a P0017 and P0014.

Something to do with the cam actuator solenoid and crankshaft sensor which ended up advancing the timing.

Took it in and it was the camshaft timing sensor which needed to be replaced.
