Did a google for "Chevrolet Colorado console" and this page from C-Fans came up:

He posted that he bought it on ebay, but the seller claims its an OE (Ford) Crown Victoria console, and that the width is a good match for 355's.

Looking online I see a variety of Crown Vic consoles.
(naturally, they built Crown Vics for about 84 years...)

Anyone tried one? Anyone know about the width?

This doesn't entirely answer your question but doing an ebay search, his picture and the after market police interceptor crown vic center consoles look almost identical... The dimensions are 12 1/2" H x 27" L x 8" W

Just went out and measured my approximate dimensions in my truck. I have the 60/40 seats with fold down arm rest. Assuming I cut the center portion out I would have 8 inches of width between the seats. Currently with cupholder, the center section is 22 inches long with plenty of room to move the future console forward or back. My current arm rest is 13 inches high from the floor. With all that being said, I'm pretty confident that when I get some extra time (could be a while with other projects), I'm going to give it a go.
