I figured it was high time I put one of these together.

I bought my Colorado in March from an auction. Before I had this I had a 2000 S10 reg cab/short box, 2001 Ford Excursion 7.3L on a 6" and 37s, and a 1976 Ford F250 on a 6" and 36's with a 400hp 429 and 4 speed, and my 1970 Chevelle. I decided it was time to downsize. I sold everything but my Chevelle considering it was my first car and we have a TON of history together. I found my truck at an Auction and was able to get it for a steal. I bought it and have been beyond happy ever since.

I'm not sure what I really want it to end up like but after seeing @slicksteveo13 and @laxdogg24 trucks at the WCSM this year I really really am leaning towards a 4wd prerunner. But we can always figure that out down the road for now here are the pics!

The day I picked her up:

Finally at her new home:

Gutted the interior to clean it. the PO was an absolute slob and there was crap EVERYWHERE! Then I cleaned it up a bit.

Because it was a Salvage title I had to have a brake and lamp inspection done, so that meant new front end and brakes.

about a month after I bought it we took it to San Diego for a vacation, as I was just about home i heard a crack and the lower A-Arm mount separated itself from the frame and needed to be welded back on. No idea why this happened. Also the blower motor quit, luckily it was a fairly easy fix.

This last weekend the WCSM was in Sacramento so I had to get her all prettied up.

I have also added a handful of mods to it

Light bar/pods

Freedom pole

Paint matched bezels

Upcoming mods include lift shackles, a TB crank, Ball joint flip, custom tube bumpers, and a body lift delete kit.

The truck looks great already. I can't wait to see what comes next
Nice job. Looks like you have some experience modding and it shows in the meticulous work you've done.
Nice work man. Glad you were able to make it to the WCSM last weekend. Hope you weren't disappointed. I tried to get around and meet everyone, but not sure that I did. It was a pretty hectic day for Matt and I.
Nice find and I bet the truck's happy to be in better hands. You're off to a great start!

I have a bit of experience. I've been doing this kind of stuff for a long time. Plus it helps that the my family has a shop that I've been working at for sometime and been lucky enough to have a hand in some really cool cars.

Thanks Jeff, I was glad I could come out and meet everyone. I had a lot of fun! I am really looking forward to next year.

Thanks! I'd like to think she is happy to be in loving hands.
Looking forward to seeing where this goes!

Very nice! Glad to see that I'm not the only one that pulls the front grille to detail.

Its the little stuff that makes the biggest difference!!

Today I have a few updates for my interior detailing/modding. Yesterday I painted my bezels to match the exterior, and today I wrapped my headliner and started to wrap my door inserts. I'll have some more pics later today.
The door panels are a bit of a pain to do, but look great when done right. I paid a guy $150 guy to do mine in leather. He pissed and moaned and swore he'd never do another set.

Those look so nice! I've never wrapped stuff like this before. The closest thing I've done is a vinyl top on a 71 Chevelle.
Im looking forward to these interior pics. I've done a bunch to my interior over the past few days.

Here's a bit of an update. I wrapped my headliner in black suede which I really like. It was a gigantic pain in the ass to get the headliner out in one piece though. Essentially I had to pull all the seats out and then it finally came out. I am going to get black hardware for the headliner next. I'm not keen on the whiteish gray that I have. I also installed all my bezels today. I liked it all with the tan door inserts bit after wrapping one of the inserts with the suede I'm thinkin about painting the switch panels black again, the red on there just detracts from the suede in my opinion. Overall I'm pretty happy with it all. There are a few things I'm going to change because it's not quite up to my standards yet.

I like the headliner. Looks good.
Thanks Sam. I'm really happy with it. The first thing the old lady said when she saw it is that it's now a "Pimpmobile".

So last night I had some serious misfortune. My girlfriend and I plus her dad and some friends went to the County fair last night for the figure 8 racing and motocross exhibition. When we came out I came out to a smashed up truck. This really really bums me out. but unfortunately I cant do anything about it now.

According to the responding deputies, it had happened a few hours before I came back to my truck. The vehicle that hit it was driven by a 17 year old nephew of the vehicles owner. He mistaked the gas pedal for the brake pedal. I dont know how he was able to get enought speed to move my truck this far but it was about 12-15 feet from where I left it. there were some skid marks on the ground that showed how far it had gone. It also moved the prius in front of me about 6 feet out of the parking stall. After the incident happend they left a note on both vehicles and took off. Lucky for me that the responding deputies had already contacted the people and got aboslutley every bit of info from them as they could so I am covered insurance wise. Right now I am feeling upset, frustrated an angry but I know that wont be able to change anything. On the plus side I guess now is a good time to look in to some new tube bumpers and hardocore reinforcement. I have no idea what insurance is gonna say about it but I do know the rear frame horn on the Pass side isnt the way its supposed to be and will need to be straightened.

Fuck that sucks. Hit and run? Damage dosnt look super bad. But still sucks. Nothing major is bent or fucked up it seems.
@Kwon I updated my post. it was a hit and run but the deputies were able to get info for me. So far its mostly cosmetic except for the rear frame horn which is bent and angled from where it should be.
