Okay so I'm getting Fuel Assualts 20x12. With 33x12.50 tires. The wheel has a -43 mm offset and 4.75 back spacing. And I plan on getting wheel spacers. So do I need a lift to and if so what size? Trying to avoid a $1600 Rancho but will get it if need be.

You will need a 4" suspension lift and probably a body lift at the very least. I'm guessing you will still rub pretty bad. Try the search function, there are lots of threads on the topic

I run a small TB crank and rear S-Max shackles.

I am running 4.5" backspacing on 7.5" wide wheels with 33.5x10.5-17 (255/80r17) and it BARELY fits. I had to massage the body mount with a hammer and cut some plastic on the fender flare and front bumper to eliminate the rubbing.

I can flex up and down at full lock with no rubbing, but I will go on record and say it is the "tightest piece I ever had."

The wheels alone in that width/offset and the tire width are hard enough to clear, the spacers will just make it that much worse. If you are dead set on 12 wides, I'd recommend skipping the spacers, I mean the wheels alone are going to have half of the tire sticking out of the fender.

It'll help some, but you will also need to cut the body mount and will probably still make contact with some sheet metal at the back of the wheel well. You just have to realize the further out the wheel sticks, the larger the arc when turning; the larger the arc, the more room you need. If you are dead set on that wheel and tire combo, just be ready to break out the saw and hammers.

I had 33x12.50's on 20x9 0 offset wheels on my Z85 with 7.5" of lift, now considering my Z85 set about 2" lower than a Z71, that would be about the same as a 5.5" lift on a Z71. I required very minor trimming, now if you are looking at a 4" lift and a tire that will stick out ~3.5" further than mine did (before you add the spacers) so, yes cutting & massaging will still be needed, even with the lift.

With Z71 flares my tires stuck out ~2", if you have Z71 flares, you can expect to have ~5.5"-6" sticking out, depending on exact tire specs, then add whatever the spacer width to that. I don't know about where you live, but where I live I couldn't afford to keep paying the tickets they would give me.

My Previous Setup Before I Had The 35s / Extra Lift And Paint Job

5" Inch Lift Total

3" Inch Performance Accessories Body Lift Kit

2" Inch Torsion Crank With Add A Leaf

33x12.50R20 Free Passer Mud Terrain Tires

20x10 Dropstars 645B -19 Offset ( 4 Inch Lip )

No Spacers

And My Tires Still Scrubbed At Full Turn Until I Raised My Front Up Another 2" Inches Using Torsion Keys... And That's Only A -19 Offset And It Took Me 7" Inches Of Lift For No Rubbing.. So You Will Need At Least 5" Inches Of Lift With Trimming / Cutting.. Maybe Do 3" Inch Body Lift With 3" Inch Torsion Keys If You Do Not Want To Spend A Lot On A 4" Suspension Lift.. The 3" Keys Can Be Cheap Depending On The Brand And I Bought My 3" Body For Only $330

Also My 4" Inch Tuff Country Suspension Lift Kit Was Only $1,300 And That Comes With 4 Shocks / No Tax / Free Shipping On Jegs.com

Is this the same truck you have now, or did you swap stuff over to the orange one?

How much did it cost you to get the body lift installed? Im currently running a 3in strut spacer in the front and 3in shackles in the rear and im sitting on 20x12 wides on 315/35/20 and it rubs at 1/2- 2/3 turn, and it mostly just rubs very close to the bottom of the fender and what would you reccomend doing to trim the fender cause i like how it looks with wide and low stance

So im running a 20x12 setup on 315/35/20s on a 3” strut spacer and 3” rear shackle lift and around 1/2-3/4 turn it starts to rub, i know im going to have to do some trimming the lower bumper and the inner side of the fender, but possibly tossing around the idea of keeping a low and wide stance cause i truthfully kind of like it since its different what would you reccomend to do i mean i might go with the option of a 1 1/2 -3” body lift but havent decided yet, btw love the build on your truck, one of my favorite canyons ive seen and yes mine is the 2wd so i dont really ever plan on mudding in it i just like the aggressive look but i am eventually tossing around the idea of ls swapping the engine and doing a axle and a transmission swap as well
