When i first bought my Canyon about the only thing available in lowering components were dropped springs and DJM dropped a-arms. Since i just wanted a mild drop i went with dropped springs in front and blocks in the rear for a 2/3 drop. Now it needs to be a little lower. Since it's almost on the bump stops in front (about 1 1/2" of clearance) i'm going with BJ's to get it down a little more. So what i need to know is will using dropped BJ's change the distance between the bump stop and the a-arm?

not they wont, all you are doing is raising the spindle in relation to the suspension. the suspension for the most part is unchanged with balljoints.

you will still need an alignment with drop BJs since the tie rod angle changes.
