I was interested in the computer tuning to tweak my truck a bit. However where I live their is emissions testing, I am concerned changing the operating parameters could cause the truck to fail. Does anyone have any experience on this? I am wondering if this was to be an issue maybe the Jet Chip might be a better option as to uninstall the modified program, you merely unplug, then replug as necessary.
Should I be worried over failing?

Jet Chip sucks. A tune will not cause you to fail emissions.

I have been tuned twice and had know problems passing emissions. My firend is tuned also with a gutted manifold cat and he didnt have any problems also. Stay away from the jet chip man there crap.....

Also I have been tuned, I have a CAI(custom), and gutted manifold cat. I work at a dealership and they told me I will have no problem with the emisions testing. Save your money on the Jet chip...and get a real live tune, meaning have someone with HPtuners drive a long with you and tune your truck....
