So I went to another 355 member's home in FL and here is what he's been up-to. Quite nice, welds look good, home-done MIG fabrication using 1/4" wall tubing & gusset plates. Still lots to be done, but from the looks of things, it will get done, and done-well, if his two young kids allow him the time!
He didn't have any use for the stock ZQ-8 suspension components, so I was able to get his ZQ-8 stuff very reasonably, that's the front & rear anti-sway bars, front coil-over KYB nitrogen-charged units, rear similar shock-only KYB's, the ZQ-8 rear leaf springs, shackles and front & rear low bump stops, and a couple of brackets.
I'm gonna throw on the anti-sway rear bar tomorrow. I'll try to get the F&R shocks & springs done but I think that may have to wait until I can make sure I can get it aligned the same day. I'm yanking the engine on my VMax tomorrow, too, so this is going to be a busy weekend.
