Gas tank relocation question

Ok so my truck is a 2007 Canyon Crew cab SLE 4x4 also I currently have a 3" body lift and 3" suspension lift and am sitting on 33" tires. I'm actually looking at relocating my gas tank so that i can build a rear triangulated 4 link suspension. My current idea is to move the gas tank forward so it would actually be mostly underneath the cab. It looks possible to do but i was just wondering if any one has done anything like this before and if anyone had any suggestions or concerns on the feasibility of this.

Theres alot of 3's in your post. :kiki: Forgive me I'm on minimal sleep.

Anyway...I've seen a lot of lowered guys relocate to the bed so I would assume that as long as there is room under there you should be good. If you are building a 4 link rear I assume you are building up a decent rig. Maybe consider a bed mount so it is up and out of the way?

I'd say it'd be fairly easy. Have to make new mounts for the straps. Shorten the fuel lines or run new. I'd say you could make the oem wiring work. I'd say pull the bed off and see what it'd take to slide it forward.

As others have said before, nothing is impossible given enough money. The front of the fuel tank rests on a crossmember that will have to be moved/modified. The bottom of the tank extends below the level of the crossmember. The aft end of the tank extends upwards to take advantage of the space afforded by the bed floor, which is higher than the cab floor. Accordingly, it appears that the tank will have to be modified.

Do you think it would be possible to use the stock filler? Would it be alright to extend it with rubber fuel line?
