Re: GeorgiaBoy's Build Thread *Up Up and Away!*

A little detour happened however when I picked up a set of used Marathon camo seat covers and made them work for the back seats. The fronts however did not work due to my seats being electric.

Then an even bigger detour when I decided to yank out my entire interior for cleaning and sound deadening. Pulled my disgusting carpet out and doused it with simple clean degreaser and visited the car wash one afternoon.

I even built me a factory like harness to wire up my power seats instead of the rigged way I did originally a couple of years ago. Even relocated my amp to the back wall and got rid of my sub to let the amp run the door speakers and man what a difference!

Then I had the fun. Idea of doing my headliner since it was dirty and I figured I had pulled all the other interior minus dash so why not! Removed the old material (mistake) and foam backed the material I bought (another mistake). Made it work tho and was pleased how it came out!

Then I did some painting on my grab handles, push pins, etc. Following Boyd's how to for dyeing them didn't work so well for me. Got the console fabbed in temporarily till I can add the switches.

Picked up a few items from Supermod's Bruiser build and started playing with the gas door immediately.

Traded out of the Decoma grille and swapped back over to a canyon grille I hastily painted for Sesm.

Goofing off in the junk yard checking out some parts and picking up a few things I needed.

Also picked up a knock off B and M +3 at trans pan to swap out the next time I service the trans

Went home to visit my family and played around at the farm taking a few pics. Night pics are of the light bar only on

Truck kept shooting some oil out the driverside I couldn't pinpoint for a couple days. I finally found the damn thing... the dipstick cut thru the tube over the years like a saw. $15 later that issue was fixed with a new tube

Looks good man! Can you notice a big difference with the sound deadening?

It's a good noticeable difference honestly. I was surprised how much it helped out. It's not quiet but it's ALOT quieter than what it was before.

Thanks for the comments guys. Not enough time to get everything done like I'm wanting to here lately

Ya know if the stuff wasn't so heavy...I would have done it in my old truck because that shit needed to be quieted down. However, I am thinking with the new truck I might just run the cut-out and then otherwise stock exhaust. Keep it quiet as hell until I want it loud as hell.

If you run stock exhaust, does that mean you are not going to use the Borla?

Yes that would be the case. But I'm not sure I want to have a truck that is completely quiet all the time so I'm not making any promises just yet. I may just run the exhaust further back on the new truck.
